Rajasthan, the land of culture, ethnicity and the ‘Rajas’ themselves is the living preservation of Indian heritage. If you have been lacking inspiration or looking for a place to get your creative juices flowing again, Rajasthan is the spot you need to visit for your next photography session. From forts to deserts, busy alleys to drop-dead Qilas, Rajasthan is the embodiment of extremes, peaceful coexistence and contrast. Even the markets in this place have a unique flavour, and if you choose your locations carefully, Rajasthan will offer a lot to you and your camera. Let us get started, shall we?

  • Alwar

Apart from the milk cake that this place is known for, Alwar is the best place in Rajasthan to soak in the sunsets and witness some of the awe-striking sunrises. From the haunted fort of Bhangarh to the Sariska wildlife reserve, Alwar is generous and hospitable to fellow photographers. This place has colour, wildlife, busy street life and of course, the delicacy of scrumptious milk cake whenever you are in need of catching a break.

  • Mount Abu

The second on the list is Mount Abu, and why it shouldn’t be? This green mountain is the place to unwind, catch up with nature and get drenched in the scenery of wildlife. More than just another Hill Station, off-beat places in Mount Abu such as the Peace Park, and the Achalgarh fort offer a varied perspective to your lens to capture.

  • Pushkar

Oh my, the only complaint we could have about this place is being a bit overcrowded at times but it well deserves it. The views of and from Pushkar lake are worth sacrificing your meals for. Located in the heart of Rajasthan, you can book a good hotel to get an enthralling view of this place but there are many spots related to getting you a good picture. Do not miss out on the golden hours in this place as this place left us awestruck when we first saw the scenic beauty this place holds within these magical hours.

  • Kuchaman

Kuchaman is one of the most underrated places on this list but people are soon catching up to the name and the ariel view of the forts and civilisation that this place is built upon. From Havelis to Sambhar Salt lake, Kuchaman is your ideal location away from the hustle & bustle of the cities such as Jaipur, Udaipur etc but stands no less than them when it comes to offering you places to discover and capture in your reel.

  • Khuri

We have given you a hill station, we have given you the land of forts, and lakes but what good is the trip to Rajasthan without camels and sand dunes? Khuri is the place you need to visit for the movie like Sand Dunes, Desert Safari and the traditional Rajasthan feel surrounded by Camels and Rajasthani Folk People. Ever since our visit to Khuri, we have realised the potential this place holds for desert photography and capturing the lives of migratory birds as well.

These are our picks from the Land of Rajasthan that you need to visit next. Have a good time capturing these places with your camera.
