Rhein the second clicked by Andreas Gurskyis 360 by 190 cm photography. It captures the flowing Rhein river claiming to be sold at $4,338.500 in the year 2011. There were several edits made to the picture. And it is said “a fictitious construction was required to provide an accurate image of a modern river. ”

Dead troops talk by Jeff Wall was sold in the year 2012 for $3,666,500. Makes it one of the most interesting, most expensive photographs to ever be sold. It is capturing a moment after the ambush of the Red Army in Afghanistan. It is a montage made around the early 1990s.

Another expensive photograph in the world sold at $2,938,000 in the year 2006 was captured by Edward Steichen. An interesting fact to notice here is that there are just three versions still existing. Each image is different in its own way due to the manual post-processing of that time. By February of 2006, this was the most expensive photograph to be sold in the world.

Edward Weston is best known for clicking the most classy-looking nude photography. One of his most expensive photographs ever sold was for $1,609,000 in the year 2008.
