5 tips on sunset photography you need to know!

Choose a manual mode:

All the latest cameras have great automatic features. However, there are some things that go old school. Sunset photography is best done when you move with your hearts. The risk is higher but the consistency results in the best sunset photography ever.

Know your camera:

Sunset photography demands uniqueness. You need to hold your camera as it is an extended body part. A mirrorless DSLR will work the best for you. It can adjust to landscape photography, and hold off telephoto heavy lenses too!

A lens with a wide focal length and one that is wide angled will suit you the best.

Fix the white balance:

A preset of white balance will help you incorporate sunlight subtly. It will help you collect the warm tones of the golden hour easily. The whole idea behind a manual white balance setting is to make the sunset look as natural as possible.

Sunset photography is peaceful. It is therapeutic. And the whole process of capturing that particular shot is raging!

Aperture:

A narrow aperture will help you go through landscape photography. The ideal aperture is f/16 or f/22. Whereas the narrow aperture will help you grasp a better depth and dimension. A smaller aperture will give you a better focus.

Shutter speed:

A slower shutter and lower ISO will result in heightened tones and detailed sharpness. Try using a lower iso setting.

Sunset photography requires you to have patience and logic. Having the right gear setup will help you make the image stand out. Nevertheless, going out and exploring is what you need to do.
